SATURDAY, JULY 30TH
12:30 PM - Warm-up & Audition Choreo
2:00 PM - Auditions begin

Auditions are held in order to place dancers in the correct level teams, make selections for specialties, and make sure dancer is ready for the commitment that being a part of the company requires. Dancers get the opportunity to experience what a professional audition is like and get individual critiques to help direct what they should be focused on improving throughout the year.

Students need to come dressed in ALL BLACK dancewear (this means leotards, crop tops, shorts - ABSOLUTELY NO T-SHIRTS OR OTHER LOOSE CLOTHING). Hair should be pulled back neatly. Dancers will warm-up and learn a short jazz combination in which they will audition with. Auditions begin at 2 PM. Dancers will select a number at random (juniors will go first) and audition in groups of two. Students may leave once they are done auditioning and have signed up for a meeting with Ashlee.

The following is a list of what each student must demonstrate while auditioning:
- Grand jetes (straight and in second)
- Pirouette (double or more)
- Chaines
- First arabesque
- Trick of Choice (fouettes, extentions, tumbling pass etc.)
- Jazz Choreography

Students MUST bring their finished and signed questionaire along with their audition fee ($15) in order to audition. Auditions are closed to the public. Students are required to wear jazz shoes.
